Candid photos have always been something I have loved to capture, even before I purchased a real camera. Over the years that I have had a smart phone, it has always been more fun to take photos of friends and memories as they are being made versus posed shots. I’ve never felt that posed pictures reflect people’s personalities very well. Sometimes I feel like planned photos or sessions are that way even if you try to get subjects to act natural as you photograph them. It’s tough to capture authentic moments, if someone know’s they’re in front of a camera. Even so, my favorite thing to photograph is people I share this earth with.

As my body of film photography grows, this will be an ongoing project for as long as I can keep shooting. I hope that it captures memories that will outlive us long after we’re gone.
